Plaza de Armas de Puerto Montt is one of the city’s top-rated attractions. This historic plaza features plenty of open space, a perfect mixture of modern and old buildings, mosaic tiles, water fountrain, and an incredible view of the ocean. The city’s grand church, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cathedral, also overlooks this square (so you can easily check off two attractions at once!). You can discover artifacts such as fossils, models, dioramas, weapons, pottery and all sorts of other exciting artifacts from over the centuries! You will also have the chance to learn more about how the city survived the most catastrophic earthquake in history.
