This 2,362 performance center first hosted the Union Gospel Tabernacle before becoming the original home of the Grand Ole Opry until 1974. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places and considered a National Historic Landmark, the Ryman Auditorium is now a popular attraction for travelers. Today, you can take a self-guided tour of or purchase a backstage tour, where you can learn interesting stories about the theater and view historic photos and artifacts.
