Also known locally as Puntan Dos Amantes, Two Lover’s Point is the most popular attraction in Guam. They both jumped to their death after being pursued by the woman’s father and Spanish soldiers. Today, you can visit this site and take in the beautiful scenic views of the island. There are also statues representing the two lovers, as well as a heart lock wall, gift shop, and restaurant. This is a wonderful destination for couples, honeymooners, newley-weds, or anyone who wants to experience Guam’s sheer beauty.

Marine life enthusiasts will love checking out Fish Eye Maine Park, Guam’s top-rated underwater observatory! Built by the Spanish is the early 19th century, this fort originally served to protect Spanish trading ships that moved between Acapulco, Mexico, and the Philippines. Today, the remains of the fort have been converted into a public park. Discover old canons, bridges, and wonderful views of the surrounding mountains. ♦ Shipwreck Dives
Apra Harbor is a scuba diver’s paradise! This is especially true of divers who are fascinated by U.S. History. In fact, Apra Harbor is home to a set of two side-by-side shipwrecks (one from World War I, and the other from World War II). A short 10-minute boat ride off the coast of Guam, and one tank of oxygen will grant you the ability to explore these underwater wrecks for yourself (although some dive shops provide two tanks). You only need to dive about 100 feet to be able to view the remains of these vessels. If you have enough time and are interested in partaking in more diving expeditions, you might consider doing a coral reef dive, which will truly give you a deeper understanding of Guam’s marine life.
♦ Nat Park Asan Beach
If you’re looking to escape to a calm, peaceful beach setting, put aside some time to spend in Nat Park Asan Beach. You will discover plenty of beautiful open space, crystal clear waters (filled with many kinds of fish), and a Pacific War memorial. This is a rather quiet beach, so you won’t have to worry about running into crowds. The landscape is so breathtaking that this is a wonderful spot for some great photo opportunities!
♦ Piti Guns
For another dose of war history, you can opt to check out the Piti Guns, which is a collection of three costal defense guns that are located on a trail head in War in the Pacific National Historical Park (which is about a 5 minute drive from Apra Harbor). A quick hike brings you to the site, which includes plaques with information about the guns. The guns remain in their original placement and are in good condition for their age.
