Our love affair with the snow-capped peaks of Switzerland begins on a scenic train journey via Chur to the stylish resort of St. Moritz, set against the beautiful backdrop of Lake St. Moritz. Admire the inspiring natural setting and perhaps travel on one of Switzerland's most spectacular rail routes across the Bernina pass this afternoon, enjoy dinner at your hotel this evening.

Embrace the glamour and romance of a bygone era. Watch the epic alpine landscapes drift past as you chug along one of the world's most unforgettable rail journeys from the comfort of the Glacier Express. 5A Train Journey to Lakeside Geneva Connect with Locals

6Journey on the Golden and Brünig Pass to Interlaken and Lucerne
Picture-perfect landscapes are your constant companion as you journey from Geneva along the Golden Pass route. Stop at Interlaken in the heart of the Swiss Alps, located at the foot of a trio of famous peaks – the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. Spend some time at leisure and enjoy superb views of the peaks of the Bernese Oberland. Follow the Brünig Pass to the lakeside town of Lucerne in central Switzerland, where you will stay for the next two nights. See the Iconic Chapel bridge and the poignant Lion Monument, built in memory of the Swiss Guards who bravely defended Louis XVI during the French Revolution on your orientation tour. The evening is free to spend as you wish, but you could choose to show off your vocal talents and learn how to yodel during an optional fun-packed Swiss folklore show with fondue dinner.

Your Travel Director will give you tickets for the short train journey from Lucerne to Zürich Airport, which can be used at your convenience for your onward journey on the final day of your tour. Alternatively, join a coach transfer to Zürich Airport.

* NOTE: This Trip falls under LEVEL 2. Please refer to the Deposit, Payment and Cancellations policies on our website. * DAY 1: The M-venpick Hotel Z-rich-Airport start hotel in Zurich is located only 5 minutes away from the Zurich Airport (ZRH) and operates a free airport shuttle throughout the day, departing every 15 minutes (not operated by Trafalgar). Guest meet their Travel Director at approximately 16:00 for a Welcome Reception and a short introduction on the first day of the tour, please be aware when booking your flights. When booking a pre night accommodation the guest may take advantage of the free M-venpick Hotel Z-rich-Airport shuttle service. * DAY 9: Guests can choose to take the complimentary coach transfer operated by Trafalgar or a train ticket from Lucerne to Zurich Airport (ZRH) on the last day of the tour only. * COACH TRANSFER: Complimentary departure transfer arrives at Zurich Airport (ZRH) at 09:00. * TRAIN SERVICE: Complimentary standard class train tickets from Lucerne to Zurich Airport (ZRH) will be provided by the Travel Director. Guests can travel at their leisure by train and should make their own way to Lucerne train station. Travel on this train service will be on an independent basis and all personal belongings will be the sole responsibility of the guest. There are no refunds for unused transfers. The first train from Lucerne to Zurich Airport departs at 04:52, requires a change at Zurich Hauptbahnhof at 05:55-06:03, and arrives at Zurich Airport at 06:12. The train schedule is subject to change. Please schedule your departure flight after 09:12. * TRANSFERS: Chargeable transfers available on the Departure in Zurich only. Guests who have booked their extra hotel nights with Trafalgar, or whose flight times do not coincide with the shuttle coach timings may purchase a chargeable transfer.
