A purpose-built luxury expedition ship, Silversea's 144-guest Silver Explorer (previously named Prince Albert II), has been specifically designed to navigate through the waters of some of the world's most remote destinations. Additionally, this all-suite, all-ocean view vessel has a strengthened hull with a Lloyd's Register ice-class notation (1A) for passenger vessels, enabling it to safely and easily push through ice flows. Some of the destinations that Silver Explorer travels to are Alaska, the American West Coast, Antarctica, the Arctic, Greenland, Asia, the Caribbean, Central America, Russian Far East, South America and the South Pacific Islands.

Silver Explorer Suites

While all suites aboard Silver Explorer have an ocean-view, the majority of rooms include a French balcony or private veranda. This ship's accommodations are among the largest of any expedition cruise ship, ranging in size from 175 to 728-sq. feet, and are appointed with luxurious amenities such as in-suite bar setups and marbled baths with tubs. You will also receive Pratesi® bed linens, Bvlgari® and European bath amenities, an Etro® bathrobe, a pillow menu, iHome docking station (outlets in this ship are 220v), personalized stationary and a flat-screen TV fully loaded with an interactive media library. Guests staying in Expedition, Medallion, Silver, Grand and Owner’s suites will have complimentary unlimited wi-fi Internet access while guests staying in other suites will receive one hour of Internet access per day.
