Overview
Throughout this tour, you’ll move through Europe by canal, river, road and coast, with every border bringing a shift in sound, scent and feeling. The Rhine carries you past steep vineyards and castle-topped banks, before Venice draws you into the soft knock of boats on the water. Rome and Avignon bring centuries of papal history into the cool hush of churches and stone courtyards. Tuscany has you traveling past cypress-lined hills and vineyard rows, with dinners perhaps fragrant with olive oil, rosemary, tomato and warm bread.
