Services provided off the ship are of the same high standard as those onboard to provide a deep understanding and connection with the lands you are visiting. Every AmaSonata cruise includes complimentary guided land tours that are certain to both culturally and intellectually enrich you as you journey through historic sites and cities. There are different tours scheduled for individuals who would like to leisurely stroll through the town and those that would like something a little more fast-paced. All excursions are headed by professional, English-speaking guides who are experts on the areas that you visit.

Bicycle Tours

AmaWaterways offers intimate land tours led by experienced area guides. You are provided with complimentary headphones that allow you to wander at your own pace while still being able to hear the information being presented by the guide. As a special accommodation, AmaSonata offers free bicycles if you prefer a faster mode of transportation and the ability to explore on your own. Over two dozen bicycles and the necessary safety equipment are carried onboard for when the ship comes into port. There are also guided bicycle tours available, a practice initiated by AmaWaterways.
