Small cruise ship Ocean Voyager has a long history. It was formerly one of the two sister ships for Victory Cruise Lines, Victory I before this company merged with The American Queen Steamboat Company to offer cruising services under a new brand - the American Queen Voyages, which fleet it represents today.

Entering service in 2001, this ship used to have other names besides Victory I - Saint Laurent, Sea Voyager, and Cape May Light - and operated under different owners. In winter 2021, the 286-foot-long vessel was renamed Ocean Voyager, undergoing a small refit at Port Royal (South Carolina).

According to the American Queen Voyages, unique coastal vessels such as Ocean Voyager can navigate the complex locking system of the St. Lawrence Seaway, the 5 Great Lakes, and Mexico's Yucatán Peninsula.
