What’s New for Tauck Cruises?

In 2017, Tauck Cruises redesigned two of its riverboats, ms Emerald and ms Sapphire, to have an updated deck plan featuring 70% of cabins that measure in 225-sq. feet or more. Both ships were also redesigned to hold only 98 passengers each to bring you the most intimate and personal river sailing experience (while similar ships hold 160 passengers). In 2018, ms Esprit and ms Treasures will undergo a similar refurbishment. All four of these ships will feature amenities including brocade upholstery, spacious walk-in closets and large marbled bathrooms with rainfall shower heads. 85% of cabins will have French balconies with floor-to-ceiling windows.

In early 2015, a fifth Jewel-class ship joined the Tauck Cruises fleet, the 118-guest ms Espirit. An additional two Inspiration-class ships, ms Grace and ms Joy debuted for Tauck during 2016.

2014 was a big year for Tauck Cruises. Launched during that year were ms Inspire and ms Savor, bringing the fleet’s total to six ships. Despite being larger than previous Tauck ships, guest capacity of the new ships remained at a minimum, to allow for a personalized and individualized experience. The highlight of these ships was the Loft Suites, two-floor suites that allow guests the most stateroom space on the European rivers.
