Ship Highlights

Planetarium

Viking Orion is the first ship in the Viking Ocean Cruises fleet to feature a high-tech planetarium! Located on the second story of the Explorer’s Lounge, this amazing attraction is powered by five laser projectors, high-powered speakers, and a 7K resolution with 2D and 3D graphics. Several planetarium shows are held during each sailing, providing you with programs on the history of space travel and a special on the Northern Lights. Viking Orion is also the only Viking Ocean ship to have a resident astronomer onboard, who holds lectures inside the planetarium, and hosts stargazing through the ship’s telescope. The planetarium is complimentary and included in your cruise fare.

LivNordic Spa

The spa onboard Viking Orion is like none other at sea. Its thermal suite is accessible free of charge and features a perfect balance of hot and cold therapy, keeping in line with Nordic tradition. In the thermal suite, you will discover a steam room, a cold plunge pool and dump bucket, and a snow grotto, as well as padded and heated loungers where you can just relax and enjoy the ambiance. Spa treatments are available for fee and include services such as body scrubs, massages, and facials. The Kitchen Table
