Star Pride 2020 Refurbishment

Star Pride will be the third of the Star-class ships to undergo Windstar’s $250 Million Star Plus Initiative, in which the ship will be stretched and undergo a re-engine. As part of the Star Plus Initiative, Star Pride will receive 50 additional and brand-new suites (including two new Owner’s Suites) and new bathrooms/sliding glass balcony doors for existing suites. Additionally, there will be a larger pool, redesigned spa, an alternative restaurant, a casual BBQ venue, new retail shops, and a larger fitness center. The ship will also receive a more fuel-efficient engine system. Since Star Pride will be enlarged, Windstar is planning to hire additional staff to maintain the cruise line’s fabulous 1.5:1 guest-to-staff ratio.

Onboard Entertainment

Star Pride’s onboard lifestyle differs from larger ships in that there are no water slides, theaters, casinos, or headlining entertainment. However, you will discover some incredibly unique offerings, such as a screening room, complimentary galley tours, an open bridge policy, an onboard BBQ, and complimentary in-port market tours with a chef.

The crew talent show is a smash hit, as is passenger and crew line dancing.
Star Pride also hosts Windstar’s famous Signature Sail Away celebration, where the crew raises the ship’s flags to Vangelis’ “1492” song.
There are 4 bars (The Lounge, Compass Rose, the Yacht Club, and Star Bar) where you can grab a cocktail, relax, and socialize.
You will also discover a small swimming pool, several hot tubs, and plenty of space for sun lounging on the top decks.
