A great way to spend time outdoors when visiting Port Louis is to pay a visit to the Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Botanical Gardens. Built in 1767 by French Governor Mahe de Labourdonnais, these gardens now contain over 90 acres of flora and fauna.
