Overview
Swap ski lifts for summer trails and whitewater rafts in this active Alpine getaway. You'll start your adrenaline-filled adventure at Contiki's Haus Schöneck in the Austrian Alps, with sunset hikes, mountain biking and paragliding, before crossing into the Swiss Alps for cable cars, waterfall walks and jaw-dropping mountain views. Canyon swings and a trek to the "top of Europe" provide a finale larger than the mountains themselves.

Hello there and welcome to the Alps! We’ll pick you up at Worgl Train Station (included transfer, baby!) and once we’ve all set down our bags at Contiki Haus Schöneck, we’ll kick off the trip officially with a welcome meeting conducted by your Trip Manager. After that, we’ll tuck into an included dinner – made fresh on-site with local ingredients. After dinner, we'll head off for a gentle sunset hike to mark the start of our adventure.

2Hopfgarten im Brixental
After conquering the village trails, it's time to explore Hopfgarten and beyond in a different way; this time on 2 wheels. Join us for a locally guided bike tour through the vibrant green trails, before cruising downhill for a well-earned BBQ lunch. Fancy one last adrenaline hit? You can opt for some tandem paragliding today, soaring over the alps for some peerless panoramas. The adventure has just begun!

3Hopfgarten im Brixental (Including Haiming & Innsbruck)
We’ll start early this morning as we treat ourselves to more of the alps. Next stop? Haiming…Here in Haiming, you can choose to do whatever you like. But we reckon you’d wanna experience some heart-pounding action with white water rafting followed by included picnic lunch.Next up, we’ll make our way to Innsbruck, where you’ll have some free time to explore the city and grab a bite to eat.Back in Haus Schöneck, you’ll have plenty of things to dream about tonight…

4Hopfgarten im Brixental to Lauterbrunnen
We’ll bid farewell to Hopfy and catch the train to our next stop. We’ll pass through Liechtenstein (AKA one of Europe's smallest countries) along the way, so keep an eye out! Welcome to lush green Lauterbrunnen! We’ll head to our hostel, then take a sunset walk to explore our new home for the next 3 nights!

5Lauterbrunnen
Time for some hiking! After breakfast, we’ll take the cable car up the slopes and hike to Murren - a picturesque little village. Enroute back, we'll stop by to visit the jaw-dropping Trummelbach Falls & even devour a delicious packed lunch against the epic Alpine backdrop. Then, it’s back to our hostel on a bus. Mother nature sure does love Switzerland…

6Lauterbrunnen
Wakey wakey, today we’re going to the Top of Europe! Yep. You have the option to visit the picture-perfect Jungfrau mountain. In the afternoon, you can choose to do an epic canyon swing in the mountains, or head back into town to enjoy some ground-level scenery. Afterwards, you can join us for the final dinner of this trip at a local restaurant.

Travelers Notes
* START/END TIMES: Trip starts with the inclusion of the Arrival Transfer on Day 1 between Worgl Train Station and Contiki Haus Schoneck departing Worgl at 4pm as long as arrival train information is supplied 7 days prior to departure. If travellers are arriving outside of this time, they should take a Taxi to Contiki Haus Schoneck. Check In is open from 4pm. Trip ends in Sch-tzenbach Hostel in Lauterbrunnen at 10:00. The departure transfer is not available for this trip.* TRIP NOTE: This is an Active Departure with Active elements everyday. While all activities are designed for beginners, travellers should have a good level of fitness and be prepared to walk or bike around the village and frequently travel between Contiki Haus Sch-neck and Hopfgarten Village, a distance of approximately 1.6 km (1 mile). Travellers should pack appropriate comfortable clothing for Hiking and Biking including closed in shoes. Travellers will not be permitted to hike/bike in open toed shoes/sandals/flip flops. The ability to swim is required to participate in all watersports. The weight limit for the canyon swing is 125kg. If participating in white water rafting, rapids class will be 2 and 3.* ACCOMMODATION NOTE: Please note our multi share rooms accommodate a maximum of 4 people of the same gender. * NOTE: This trip falls under DETOUR Terms & Conditions.
