Cueva de las Manos (Cave of the Hands) is one of the most significant archaeological sites in South America and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Tucked away in the deep canyon of the Pinturas River, it houses art created by hunter-gatherer societies dating back over 9,300 years. Ancient artists placed their hands against the rock and blew mineral pigments through bone tubes, leaving a silhouette. Beyond hands, the walls display vivid scenes of guanaco hunting, human figures, and geometric patterns. These provide a unique window into the spiritual and daily lives of Patagonia's first inhabitants.
