2The ancient Acropolis & the Plaka
Discover the mythological sites of Athens today. Home to the Greek philosophers, Plato and Socrates, Athens is one of the world's oldest cities and is a virtual open-air museum. Walk up to the hilltop Acropolis with a private guide to see where stories of Greek goddesses and gods live on. Begin at the 2nd-century Odeon of Herodes Atticus, a grand amphitheater still used for performances today.
