2Funchal Your Way
Make the most of a slower day on Madeira, whether that means time by the sea, enjoying your hotel or heading into Funchal for a look around the capital. You could also choose an Optional Experience to the south-west of the island, taking in Ponta do Sol, the Cabo Girão skywalk and Câmara de Lobos.

3Funchal at Leisure
Today is yours to enjoy Madeira at your own pace. You could browse the boutiques of Funchal, explore the old town streets of Zona Velha or visit Mercado dos Lavradores, where fruit, flowers and local produce have long been part of daily life in the capital. You might also take the cable car up to Monte for views over the bay and the city below. You could also join an Optional Experience and hike one of Madeira’s levada trails. This evening, join your fellow Small Group travelers for a final dinner.

* DAY 1: Complimentary arrival transfers from Madeira Airport (FNC) depart at 12:00 and 14:30 on the first day of the tour. We recommend flights to arrive 2 hours prior to the last complimentary transfer time. Flights to arrive prior to 12:30.* DAY 4: Complimentary transfer arrives at Madeira Airport (FNC) on the last day of the tour at 07:00 and 11:00. We recommend flights to depart 3 hours after the first transfer arrival time at the airport. Flights to depart after 10:00.* CHARGEABLE TRANSFERS: Chargeable transfers available in Funchal. Guests who have booked their extra hotel nights with Trafalgar, or whose flight times do not coincide with the shuttle coach timings may purchase a chargeable transfer. However, guests booking independent hotel nights will make their own transfer arrangements.* MOTORCOACH NOTE: Smaller vehicles without onboard washrooms may be used, however, the Travel Director will arrange regular comfort stops during longer journeys to ensure guests' comfort.* SMALL GROUP SERIES: This trip is featuring exclusively small-group departures, operating with a maximum of 18 guests for the entire series.* NOTE: This Trip falls under LEVEL 2.
