Magnificent Disney Magic can cruise in some of the world’s most desirable vacation destinations, such as the Bahamas and the Caribbean. Ship Refurbishment

Refurbished during a dry dock in 2018, Disney Magic received several upgrades and features. These improvements included the interactive Rapunzel’s Royal Table restaurant, a redesigned teen’s area with all-new activities and the addition of a coffee bar, a redesigned adults-only Cove Café with a new tropical theme, and the addition of Club Disney Junior in Disney’s Oceaneer Club.

Magical Activities

Since Disney Cruise Line is recognizably family-friendly, you get to discover an impressive variety of activities and entertainment options while aboard a Disney Magic cruise. Sports enthusiasts will enjoy Wide World of Sports, a massive open-air activities area featuring basketball and volleyball courts as well as ping pong tables, a soccer net, and a shuffleboard court. Two more popular public areas are the two-story Walt Disney Theatre (featuring entertaining Broadway-style Disney live shows like Tangled: The Musical, Twice Charmed: An Original Twist on the Cinderella Story and Disney Dreams – An Enchanted Classic) and the Buena Vista Theatre, which airs first-run movies and digital 3D films. Other areas of interest include heated swimming pools, multiple whirlpools, the thrilling AquaDunk waterslide, a water play area, and pirate-themed deck parties that entire families can enjoy together.

Holidays at Sea

Available on select sailings, seasonal magic adventures at sea are waiting for you! You can have spooky fun during Halloween on the High Seas or dive into the festive magic of Very Merrytime Cruises aboard Disney Magic between mid-September and the end of the year.

Suites & Staterooms

The accommodations onboard Disney Magic are well-appointed and comfortable, and most have split bathrooms (a great feature for families traveling together). Ensuring that families can travel in the same room together, this cruise ship has staterooms that can accommodate anywhere from 3 to 5 guests, as well as suites that have a capacity for up to 7 guests. Concierge Suites are the most appealing accommodations onboard, featuring 1 to 2 bedrooms, a private and spacious veranda, and extra premium amenities. Verandah staterooms, also great for families, are perfect for those who want to wake up or go to sleep while privately enjoying the magnificent ocean air. Oceanview and inside staterooms are also available for travelers seeking simpler accommodations with wonderful amenities.

Best Cruises for Adults

Although a Disney Magic cruise is definitely a fantastic option for a family, it’s also a great choice for adults. Aside from being able to relive your childhood while on the voyage, there are also a variety of adult-only venues to enjoy. Popular areas include the Soul Cat Lounge, with live music jives and artisanal drinks; adult-exclusive O’Gills Pub, with live sporting events; Beverage Tastings; Keys adult-only lounge inspired by the renowned piano bars of Hollywood’s heyday; and Quiet Cove, a relaxing adult-only pool, a whirlpool, and lounging area. There is also Palo, an adults-only Northern Italian specialty restaurant (with a per-person cover charge).

Ship Highlights

What Characters Are Aboard?

What’s a Disney cruise without its magical and beloved characters? While onboard a Disney Magic cruise, you have many opportunities to meet and greet some of the most popular Disney characters. Whether you want a photo op or you’re just looking to say hello, you will find your cruise brimming with the personalities who brought your favorite movies to life. These delightful experiences can occur throughout the ship, sometimes planned and sometimes as surprise appearances. Some of the characters you may run into include Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald and Daisy Duck, Chip n’ Dale, Goofy, Pluto, Cinderella, Doc McStuffins, and Queen Elsa and Princess Anna (some Character Experiences require tickets).

Innovative Dining

While sailing aboard a Disney Magic cruise, you may notice a very unique main dining experience, not found on other cruise ships. Instead of traditional assigned dining or open dining, you are placed in Disney Cruise Line’s Rotational Dining program. What this means is that you will “rotate” to one of the ship’s three main restaurants every evening, ensuring you enjoy a delicious meal in a unique setting every night of your cruise. Disney Magic’s main restaurants are:

  • Animator’s Palate features a live dinner show starring Disney characters;
  • Lumiere’s is an elegant Beauty and the Beast-inspired venue serving up French-influenced continental cuisine;
  • The amazing Rapunzel’s Royal Table is a Tangled-inspired venue serving German-style options. A really cool feature of this restaurant is that characters from the hit movie Tangled will come out and perform in between courses;

For casual dining aboard Disney Magic you can choose:

  • The indoor/outdoor Cabanas area, a Finding Nemo-inspired breakfast and lunch buffet area with occasional sit-down theme dinners;
  • Pete’s Boiler Bites, serving diner-inspired food;
  • Eye Scream Treats, a Monster’s Inc.-themed ice cream bar;
  • Pinocchio’s Pizzeria with delicious pizza;
  • Preludes, a snack bar located outside of the Walt Disney Theatre where you can load up on delicious snacks before the show;
  • 24-hour room service is a convenient option that’s also available.
 There’s plenty of room for your whole family in the staterooms and suites on Disney Magic!

Royal Court Royal Tea

Held once per cruise in Lumiere, decorated to look like a page right out of a storybook, Royal Court Royal Tea is a special (for a fee) event where boys and girls ages 3 to 12 can participate in an unforgettable tea party experience with their favorite Disney princesses, chefs, and other beloved characters.

In addition to the traditional endeavors of a tea party, there is also storytelling, dancing, singing, and many more special tea-time activities. The menu includes a delicious selection of herbal tea plus one sweet and one savory course. Parents are also invited to attend this once-in-a-lifetime event. At the end of the party, your child will even receive a small collection of keepsake treasures to remember the experience by.

Youth Clubs

Not surprisingly, Disney Magic has a fantastic youth program and wonderful youth facilities located throughout the ship for guests ages 6 months to 17 years.

Disney’s Oceaneer Club and Lab are two connecting areas for guests ages of 3 through 10. This facility includes a life-sized Toy Story-inspired “Andy’s Room” play area, a virtual and interactive Avengers game, a fairy tale princess dress-up area called Pixie Hollow. and a Club Disney Junior arts and crafts room. The pirate-themed lab area features a large plasma TV screen that plays Disney movies, computers, and hands-on activities such as cupcake baking classes.

Edge is an exclusive tweens-only area for 11 to 14-year-olds featuring a hang-out area with computers, video games, and an optional snack bar. Some of the activities that occur here include talent shows and glow parties. Vibe is the teen’s-only space for 14 to 17-year-olds with TVs, video games, and an optional coffee bar. Some of the games and activities that take place here include video game competitions, dancing, bingo, crafts, and more.

Daycare services for youngsters aged 6 months up to 3 years are available at the “It’s a Small World” nursery. Other areas of interest that children and adults can enjoy together are the arcade and the D Lounge, a family entertainment center where parents can sing, dance, play games, and enjoy live shows together.

 Thrills are plenty on the exciting AquaDunk waterslide!

Senses Spa & Salon

Located on Deck 9 of Disney Magic is a full-service salon and spa, where you can treat yourself to an assortment of world-class spa treatments and salon services. Indulge in a nourishing herbal wrap or leave your skin glowing with blissful botanical skin therapy. Feel new again with a soothing massage or look your sharpest with a relaxing manicure or pedicure (or both!).

One of the spa’s newest features is private Spa Villas that you can reserve to relax in while benefiting from a handful of serene amenities, such as a personal whirlpool, foot cleansing ceremony, and a bathing ritual.

The spa also has a rainforest-themed aromatherapy steam room and a sauna based on a Roman bath. This is an adults-only venue, typically open from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm on days at sea. The Chill Spa is open to guests ages 13 to 17, featuring a limited spa menu and special offers such as mother/daughter and father/son massages.

Located nearby this area is the ship’s fitness center, also for adults only. Weight machines, spinning machines, treadmills and ellipticals, and instructional classes (such as Pilates and yoga), are available at the fitness center.
