Le Dumont d’Urville is the fourth ship to feature the Blue Eye Lounge, a multi-sensory underwater space located within the hull and beneath the water line, and the first of its kind in the world. The lounge, designed by architect Jacques Rougerie, is illuminated by specially designed lighting and decorated with digital screens that project images filmed by 3 underwater cameras, strategically placed to entice jellyfish and other sea life.
