Multi-Million Refurbishment

Star Legend was the second of the Star Class ships to undergo Windstar’s $250 Million Star Plus Initiative, in which the ship was stretched and underwent a re-engine in 2020-2021. As part of the Star Plus Initiative, the yacht got an extra 84 feet in length and received 50 additional brand-new suites, including two new Owner’s Suites, and new bathrooms/sliding glass balcony doors for existing accommodations. The ship also received a more fuel-efficient engine system, a larger pool, a redesigned spa, two new restaurants, new retail shops, and a larger fitness center. Windstar hired additional staff to maintain the cruise line’s fabulous 1.5:1 guest-to-staff ratio on Star Legend cruises.
