$250 Million Refurbishment

Star Pride was the third of the Star Class ships to undergo Windstar’s $250 Million Star Plus Initiative, in which the yacht was stretched and received new engines becoming a Star Plus Class ship. As part of the Star Plus Initiative, she and her sister ships received 50 additional and brand-new suites (including two new Owner’s Suites) and new bathrooms/sliding glass balcony doors for existing suites. Additionally, there is a larger pool, a redesigned spa, an alternative restaurant, a casual BBQ venue, new retail shops, a larger fitness center, and a more fuel-efficient engine system. Windstar also hired additional staff to maintain the cruise line’s fabulous 1.5:1 guest-to-staff ratio.
