♦ Waterfalls
Nature enthusiasts will be happy to hear that Koh Samui is filled with many beautiful waterfalls! One of the most popular waterfalls is Namtok Na Muang, which is actually a set of two falls (Na Muang 1 & Na Muang 2), is easily accessible from a short trail. If you only have time to visit one waterfall, Na Muang is it. You can even make a day out of it with swimming, hiking, picnicking, and more. If you have time and would like to check out some other magnificent waterfalls, check out Hin Lad, Khun Si, Tan Rua, and Tar Nim Waterfalls.
♦ Temples
Since Thailand places a heavy emphasis on religion (Buddhism), it’s no surprise that there are a number of Buddhist temples and Chinese shrines you can visit while spending time in Koh Samui. The two temples that are the most popular among tourists are Wat Plai Laem (which features an 18-armed Goddess statue) and Wat Khunaram (where you can see the body of Luong Pordaeng, a mummified monk). Other temples that are worth a visit include Samui Big Buddha, the Secret Buddha Garden, and Wat Phra Yai. Should you have plans to spend time on the beaches as well as visit any of the temples in Koh Samui, make sure that you bring a change of clothes that are appropriate to wear in a house of worship.

Since Koh Samui is situated on an island, you will have access to many beautiful beaches! Whether you want to partake in exciting water sports, surround yourself with local culture, or simply just lay out and relax (maybe even indulge in an authentic Thai massage), there is a beach in Koh Samui for you.
