The accommodations onboard all Disney cruise ships are well-appointed, comfortable and most have split bathrooms (a great feature for families traveling together). Ensuring that families can travel in the same room together, all ships have staterooms that can accommodate anywhere from 3 to 5 guests, as well as suites that have a capacity for up to 7 guests. Concierge Suites are the most appealing accommodations onboard, featuring 1 to 2 bedrooms, a private and spacious veranda, and extra premium amenities. Verandah staterooms, also great for families, are perfect for those who want to wake up and privately enjoy the beautiful ocean air or unwind to it at night. Ocean view and inside staterooms are also available for travelers seeking simpler accommodations. No matter your budget and your needs, you can rest assured that there is the perfect room onboard Disney Cruise Line for you.
When it comes to Disney’s onboard lifestyle, you can be sure that you’ll discover wondrous experiences around every corner. Among the highlights aboard each Disney cruise ship are spacious staterooms with split bathrooms, Disney Broadway-style musicals, Disney Digital 3D movies, swimming pools, youth clubs, nightclubs, lounges and plenty of fun dining options. While on a Disney cruise, you’re certain to encounter some of the most popular Disney characters onboard…great for a photo op! Select ships also have Marvel Super Heroes and Star Wars theme days on select itineraries and are perfect for those who are huge fans (parents and children alike!). These events are jam-packed with character greetings, interactive activities for the whole family, movie screenings and more, as the day ends perfectly with a stunning firework show.
Dining onboard Disney cruises is a true adventure in itself, as Disney features a unique “rotational” dining schedule. What this means is that you and your personal wait staff will “rotate” to one of the ship’s three main restaurants every evening (with two set times available), ensuring you enjoy a delicious meal in a unique setting every night of your cruise. Animator’s Palate, found onboard all four ships, features a live and innovative dinner show starring some of the most beloved Disney characters. Other main dining venues found onboard Disney cruise ships include Lumiere’s, Rapunzel’s Royal Table, and Enchanted Garden, all of which feature their own live entertainment and hidden surprises. Sodas served during dinner time in the main restaurants are complimentary. 24-hour room service is also a convenient option that’s also available on all ships.

Disney Wonder entered a one-month dry dock in September 2016. Enhancements included the addition of Marvel Super Hero Academy, a brand-new stage show based on Disney’s smash hit “Frozen,” dining venues such as Tiana’s Place Restaurant and Cheers English Pub, and even more!
In March 2016, Disney announced plans for the construction of two additional cruise ships. Each is planned to be approximately 135,000 gross tons and boast 1,250 guest staterooms, these ships will not only be the newest additions to Disney’s fleet, but their largest as well. The ships are scheduled to be completed in 2021 and 2022, respectively.
After a 2013 refurbishment, Disney Magic received a thorough face lift, including a new three-story water slide. This ship became Disney’s first vessel to feature experiences with Marvel characters, like Marvel’s Avengers Academy (as Marvel is now a part of the Walt Disney Company family).
In very exciting news, Disney Cruise Line started offering cruises from New York, with departures available since May 25, 2012. Disney Magic did 8-night Bahamas & Florida cruises, 5-night Canada & New England cruises, as well as a few 2-night Cruises to Nowhere. Starting on September 22, 2012, Disney Magic began doing a total of twelve 7-night cruises from Galveston, Texas to the Western Caribbean. Disney Fantasy, sister ship to Disney Dream, debuted in April of 2012; at 128,000-tons, this ship is substantially larger than the already large (83,000 tons each) Disney ships that were previously the sole members of the fleet (Disney Magic and Disney Wonder). In all, this expansion of Disney’s fleet more than doubled their overall passenger capacity. These new ships are purposely built with families in mind, featuring specially designed areas and activities for each member of the family to allow for both quality time together and wonderful individual experiences. The focus is to provide a setting where families can reconnect, adults can recharge and kids can immerse themselves in worlds only Disney can create.
