At almost 2.5 miles long, the world’s largest suspension bridge can be found right in Kobe. If you’re not afraid of heights, you can go up into the bridge’s observatory decks, which are located over 150 over the water. The Bridge Exhibition Center (located on the Kobe side of the bridge) is where you can learn about the history and construction of this bridge, and other suspension bridges.
♦ Oji Zoo
If you’re traveling with children (or just like animals & wildlife), then spending some time at Oji Zoo before or after your cruise from Kobe is a great idea. In this zoo, you can find all sorts of animals such as pandas, turtles, monkeys, kangaroos and more. There’s also a small amusement park section with a Ferris wheel, which makes for a very fun day trip!
