Casco Viejo is Panama City’s old town with a very colonial vibe. Once a neighborhood for poor families, the area is now a lively scene filled with many businesses, events, nightlife, and shopping opportunities. One of the best highlights of Casco Viejo are its architectural wonders that are reminiscent of the 17th century. If you’re looking for true cultural immersion, you’ll find it in this melting pot of a town! Among some of the sites you can check out in Casco Viejo include the Church of Santo Domingo, the Panama Canal Museum, The Fish Market, Plaza Bolivar, and Iglesia de San Jose.
